FFGene Dots Silicone Legs
FFGene Dots Silicone Legs are prepared silicone leg strands supplied on a tab, with a printed dot pattern on the surface. Cut strands can form nymph legs, feelers and tails, or add movement to the wing of a streamer, popper or pike fly. The dot treatment remains a distinct visual detail after the strands are tied in.
Construction and use
Separate the tab into the number of strands required and cut clean sections before tying. A strand can be secured at its centre or by one end, depending on the intended length and position. Use moderate thread pressure: firm wraps hold silicone securely, while excessive pressure can narrow the strand and restrict its movement. Trim the free ends after the thread head or wing shape has been finished.
- Form: prepared silicone strands on a tab, ready to divide and cut.
- Finish: the surface carries a printed dot or speck pattern.
- Tying: secure the strands on the hook as legs, feelers, tails or wing accents.
- Uses: nymphs, streamers, poppers and pike flies requiring a mobile tied-in detail.
