Adler
Adler is a classic wet fly for trout and grayling. It is worth trying when fish are taking insects just below the surface, particularly in riffles and glides.
Fish it in the classic wet-fly style: allow it to drift freely, then gently lift the line towards the end of the drift. Choose a smaller size when the fish are feeding cautiously. The barbless hook makes releasing the fish easier.
