Akita AK 504 Fly Hooks (25)

Akita Ak 504 (25) is a barbed hook for dry flies and caddis pupae. Its short shank and upturned eye suit compact patterns as well as flies tied in an upside-down position, with the point facing upward.

Design and use

The straight short shank limits the working length, so the body, hackle and head are best kept compact. The upturned eye changes the position of the front section of the fly and can be useful for upside-down layouts. This model is forged and has a bronze finish. Its barbed form should be considered when choosing the pattern and fishing approach.
