Akita AK 505 (25)
Akita AK 505 (25) is a barbed fine-wire hook intended mainly for dry flies. Its straight shank and light construction suit classic patterns and caddis imitations where keeping the overall fly light is important.
Design and use
The fine wire supports light proportions, while the downturned eye gives the familiar layout used for many dry flies. The straight shank provides an orderly tying area for the body, hackle, wings and head. Choose it for patterns with a conventional build, keeping the material lengths in proportion to the shank. The hook is non-forged and has a bronze finish.
