Akita AK 587 BL Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 587 BL is a barbless fly hook for nymphs and wet flies. Its 1X-strong wire gives the dressing additional mass and a solid platform for patterns fished below the surface. The black nickel finish suits dark nymphs, wet flies and other compact dressings where the hook should blend with the body materials.

Design and use

The forged heavy wire is suited to somewhat denser patterns without limiting the hook to one dressing style. Its barbless form is appropriate where barbless tackle is required. Leave enough tying space around the point and keep the hook gap clear when building the body, thorax or hackle.
