Alexandra (1) is a classic wet fly with a bright, flashy character, intended for trout and grayling. Reach for it in slightly coloured water, in windy conditions or when fish are responding less readily to subdued patterns.

Fish it beneath the surface on a controlled line, with short pauses and a lift at the end of the drift. Tied on a barbless hook, in sizes #12 and #14.
