Dr Slick 3.5 Curved Arrow Scissor
Dr Slick 3.5 Curved Arrow Scissor is a compact pair of fly-tying scissors with an overall length of 3.5 inches, narrow fine blades and the curved Arrow point that distinguishes model SAC35G. The curved profile supports close detail cuts, while the serrated edge on one blade helps prevent fibres from sliding forward as the scissors close. The tool is made from Japanese 410 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 45 and fitted with gold-coloured finger loops.
The short frame and precise point are intended primarily for small flies and trimming close to a hook shank, thread head or materials already tied in place. The curved tips provide easier access beneath material and help follow rounded trimming lines without forcing the hand into an awkward angle. The model is intended for natural materials and can also handle most synthetics. A separate notch at the base of the blades is designed for cutting wire and lead, keeping that task away from the delicate tips.
