Dr Slick 4.5 Razor Scissor
Dr Slick 4.5 Razor Scissor is the Hair variant of the Razor fly-tying scissor series, with an overall length of 4.5 inches. It combines thin, razor-edged blades with an extended format intended for working with hair, broader bunches of fibres and other materials used when dressing larger or more substantial flies.
The straight blade profile supports longer trimming strokes and controlled levelling of materials, while the serrated cutting edge helps keep hair and fibres from sliding as the scissors close. The tool is made from 440 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 55, selected to retain a sharp edge when cutting both natural and synthetic fly-tying materials.
Adjustable tension allows the blade action to be loosened or tightened according to the resistance of the material being cut. Gold finger loops provide a conventional grip, while the larger 4.5-inch format makes it easier to trim more substantial sections without changing tools.
