Dr Slick Silver Clip On Retractor
Dr Slick Silver Clip On Retractor keeps frequently used fly-fishing accessories close at hand while reducing the chance of dropping them into the water. Its clip can be secured to a fishing vest, pack or bag, and the retracting mechanism draws the cord back into the housing when the attached item is released. It is intended for lightweight essentials such as nippers, a hook file or a small bottle of fly treatment.
The silver housing contains a durable steel cord with a 20-inch draw, approximately 51 cm, giving enough reach to operate a tool without detaching it from the retractor. The clip-on fitting also makes it straightforward to move the unit between different items of fishing luggage or clothing. Unlike a pin-mounted reel, it does not need to pierce the fabric.
This product family is offered with either an O-ring or an 8-ring terminal fitting, allowing the connection style to be matched to the eye or attachment point on the chosen accessory. It is designed primarily for light tools rather than bulky equipment. After use around salt water, silt or sand, rinse the cord and clip with fresh water and let them dry thoroughly before storage.
