FFGene Bug Eyes
FFGene Bug Eyes are weighted brass eyes with enamel pupils. They combine ballast that influences fly sink with a distinct eye detail, making them suitable for building realistic heads and front sections of fly patterns.
Construction and use
Mount the eyes crosswise on the shank using figure-eight thread wraps around both sides. Set their position relative to the hook and check that the component clears the hook eye and bend before securing it. Brass provides moderate ballast; the enamel pupil is primarily a visual detail rather than additional weight.
