FFGene CDC Oxyd Jambo Pack - 1 gr contains dyed CDC feathers in attractive colours for versatile fly tying. The pack contains 1 g of material, approximately 120–150 feathers. CDC comes from the area around a duck’s preen gland. Its fine fibres form a light surface that traps air and gives fly components useful, natural volume.

Construction and use

Use these feathers for dry-fly wings, including larger mayfly imitations on hooks from #6 to #22 when the feather size suits the pattern. They also work for dry-fly and nymph bodies, collars, legs and emerger details. Wrap an individual feather directly, or place it in a split-thread loop to create a soft, radiating component. Choose feathers by length and barb density, with colour completing the selection. Handle the fibres carefully during tying to preserve their shape.
