FFGene Hare Mask Dubbing
FFGene Hare Mask Dubbing is hare dubbing distinguished by its short hair. The shorter fibres make it easier to form compact, well-proportioned bodies without an overly long halo around the fly. It is a practical choice for nymphs, wet flies and other patterns where a natural hare texture is wanted but the profile still needs to remain controlled.
Construction and use
Work small amounts onto the thread and twist gradually, adjusting the density as the body develops. The short hair is easy to control with the fingers and can be smoothed for a neater finish. A light pass with a dubbing brush will release a few fibres and add texture without turning the whole body excessively shaggy.
