FFGene Mallard wings
FFGene Mallard wings are natural mallard feathers for forming wings, tails and other elements of traditional flies. Primary flight feathers provide slim fibres and a distinct feather stem, while secondaries offer the characteristic bluish sheen associated with patterns such as the Butcher. The stem can also serve as a quill for creating segmented bodies, particularly on larger nymphs. The material suits both dry and wet flies, with the individual feather selected according to the element and profile required. For paired wings, choose matching sections from both sides and align the tips before tying.
