FFGene Peacock Eye Feathers, 2 Pieces
FFGene Peacocks eyes - Two pieces contains 2 eye sections from peacock tail feathers, taken from the central part of the tail. The eye and surrounding soft fibres provide a lustrous material for several fly components. The pack contains 2 sections.
Construction and use
Loose herl from the eye is wound for the bodies of wet and dry flies, creating a full, fuzzy surface. It is a classic component of Red Tag, Coachman and Prince, and also forms bodies, heads and accents on nymphs, pupae and streamers. Stripping the fibres from the eye leaves a quill for slim, segmented bodies on Quill-style flies. Individual fibres can also be used in streamer wings and toppings.
