FFGene Pheasant Hen Central tail
FFGene Pheasant Hen Central Tail consists of 4 natural-colour central tail feathers from a hen pheasant. The long fibres and distinctive speckled, barred markings create clearly defined decorative sections for larger wet flies and nymphs.
Construction and use
The fibres can be used singly or in wider bunches. They suit nymph bodies, wing cases and legs, with their most distinctive application being the speckled, barred wings of wet flies. The feathers also work for large patterns such as Sam Slick and Invicta, as well as larger Grouse-style flies. Their length makes them suitable for flies tied on hooks 4–2.
