FFGene Polar Fox Tail
FFGene Polar fox tail is long, soft, mobile hair from a polar fox tail, prepared for fly tying. Its flexible fibres suit streamer wings, tails, and hairwing sections on sea-trout, trout, and salmon patterns.
Construction and use
Select a clump to the required length, remove loose underfur from the butt section, and even the tips by hand or in a hair stacker. Place the hair on the shank and hold it with a few loose thread wraps before tightening the thread. It can also be tied in as a tail or hairwing; leave enough room around the material for the fibres to settle and move freely in the water.
