FFGene Premo Deer Hair

FFGene Premo Deer Hair is selected deer hair supplied as a hair patch. It is intended for fly elements where consistent bundle selection, controlled flaring and subsequent trimming are useful, including wings, tails and shaped heads.

Construction and use

Cut a small bundle from the patch, comb out loose underfur and align the tips. Secure it with progressively increased thread pressure according to the required result: a compact wing, a spread profile or material for a clipped head. Once tied in, the hair can be organised with scissors or shaped by compression.
