FFGene Regular Tungsten Beads Metallic-5

FFGene Regular Tungsten Beads Metallic-5 are centrally drilled tungsten fly-tying beads with a metallic finish. They add weight to nymphs, streamers and other patterns using a conventionally seated bead on the hook.

Construction and use

Tungsten provides compact ballast so the fly can descend quickly through the water column. The central hole is intended for conventional mounting: slide the bead onto the hook before building the body. Select the bead diameter to suit the hook size and intended profile, and check before tying that the hole passes over both the hook eye and bend. The metallic surface reflects light and can provide a visible accent within the pattern.
