FFGene Rotary Dubbing Twister

FFGene Rotary Dubbing Twister is a rotary tool designed for working with a conventional loop of tying thread. Two open wire hooks hold the sides of the loop, while the rotary mechanism twists the thread around dubbing or other fly-tying fibres placed between the strands. The resulting material cord can then be wound along the hook shank to form a body, thorax or collar.

The circular rotating section makes it easy to set the twister in motion, while the knurled grip helps maintain control as the loop is held under tension. A half-hitch tool is incorporated at the opposite end for securing the thread near the hook eye. This is a separate function from a whip finisher: it forms a half hitch rather than a whip-finish knot.
