FFGene Salmon Leader
FFGene Salmon Leader is a 4.5 m (15 ft) salmon leader intended primarily for two-handed fly-fishing set-ups. Its profile is designed for presenting salmon flies and transferring energy from the fly line through the final section of the rig, helping the leader and fly extend during the cast.
The generous length creates useful separation between the fly line and the fly, while supporting a natural swing through the current. It forms the connection between the terminal part of a salmon outfit and the fly, making it suitable for river fishing where presentation, reliable turnover and an appropriately balanced breaking strain all matter.
Select the breaking strain shown in the product options to suit the fly, water conditions and the rest of the tackle. Heavier flies or demanding water may call for a stronger option, but the leader should remain balanced with the complete set-up. Check all knots and inspect the full leader regularly, especially after contact with rocks, the riverbed or other obstructions.
