FFGene Shrimps: Tungsten Silver (10) is a profiled tungsten body for tying shrimp, gammarus and caddis-style imitations. Its compact shape gives the fly a distinct segmented outline, while tungsten supplies concentrated ballast without requiring a bulky body.

Construction and use

Select the body diameter to match the hook size and the intended silhouette; the smaller diameters are intended for hooks around 16–18, while larger options suit hooks around 10–12. During tying, position the body on the hook shank according to the imitation’s construction, keep it aligned, and secure it with tying thread or the surrounding materials. Check clearance at the hook eye and bend so the body does not restrict the point. The silver finish reflects light and suits imitations fished close to the bottom or through the water column.
