FFGene Spring Hackle Pliers
FFGene Spring Hackle Pliers are individual hackle pliers with a ring-shaped handle and a sprung connection between the grip and the clamping section. This construction distinguishes them from simple rigid clamps: while the feather is being wound, the spring can absorb small, sudden changes in pull, helping the user guide the hackle stem or feather tip more smoothly.
The wire jaws taper towards the gripping point, where a red sleeve provides a higher-friction surface and limits direct contact between the material and bare metal. The large finger ring offers a stable hold while the pliers are guided around the hook shank. The tool is intended for gripping hackle and controlling successive turns; the sprung section does not replace careful tension control, but it can cushion abrupt movements during winding.
