FFGene Tungsten Beads

FFGene Tungsten Beads are tungsten beads with a central hole for nymphs and streamers that need compact ballast. The bead concentrates weight at the front of the fly and helps bring the pattern down into the selected water layer more quickly.

Construction and use

The tungsten construction provides substantial weight in a compact form, so bead diameter affects both sink rate and the proportions of the pattern. The central hole is intended for conventional mounting: slide the bead onto the hook before forming the body, then secure the materials behind it. Check the hole against the eye and bend of the selected hook before tying, since hook dimensions vary.
