FFGene Tungsten Reflex Beads

FFGene Tungsten Reflex Beads are tungsten beads with a profiled entrance to the hook opening. They concentrate weight at the front of a nymph, helping retain a slim body while producing a fast descent through the water column.

Construction and use

The shaped opening helps the bead pass the hook bend and seat securely near the eye. Check the fit against the particular hook before tying, as eye and bend geometry determine whether the bead can be mounted correctly. Once fitted, set the bead in the required position and secure it with thread and body materials. Choose the diameter for both the proportions of the nymph and the required weight; tungsten provides compact ballast without a bulky front section.
