FFGene Tungsten Slotted Bright Beads-3

FFGene Tungsten Slotted Bright Beads-3 is a slotted tungsten bead for building weighted nymphs, jigs and streamers. Tungsten supplies concentrated ballast, while the glossy Bright finish reflects light and enhances the front of the fly.

Construction and use

The slotted form helps fit the bead when the hook bend blocks passage through a central hole. It is particularly useful on jig hooks, though it may also suit properly matched conventional hooks. After passing the hook through, slide the bead to the eye and check its stability. Select a diameter suited to the hook and fly proportions; before tying, make sure the opening and slot clear both the eye and bend of the hook.
