FFGene Tungsten Tear Drops

FFGene Tungsten Tear Drops are teardrop-shaped tungsten components for building weighted flies. The tapering form can shape the front or part of the body, while tungsten provides compact ballast without requiring a bulky component.

Construction and use

Match the drop to the hook, shank length and intended fly profile. Its position and orientation should follow the construction of the particular pattern, then the component should be secured with tying materials so it cannot move while the body is formed. Check its proportions against the hook eye and bend before mounting, and leave room for the remaining materials. Tungsten concentrates additional weight in a small part of the fly.
