Greenwell Glory
Greenwell Glory is a traditional British olive wet-fly pattern for trout and grayling. James Wright tied it in 1854 for Canon William Greenwell after observations on the River Tweed. Use it when olive duns are appearing and fish are feeding just beneath the surface.
Fish the fly on a controlled line across or with the current, then hold it at the end of the drift so that it lifts through the water column. The barbless hook makes releasing the fish easier.
