Griffin Pedestal Base

Griffin Pedestal Base is a freestanding base that lets you use a fly-tying vise without a tabletop C-clamp. Its heavy steel construction provides stable support at the tying station, while the rectangular format makes it easy to reposition the vise or work on a surface whose edge is unsuitable for clamping.

The base accepts a standard 3/8-inch (approximately 9.5 mm) vise stem and is particularly suited to the Griffin 2A vise. Before tying, seat the stem correctly in the socket and check that the complete setup is secure. The base measures 4 × 6 inches (approximately 10.2 × 15.2 cm) and weighs approximately 4 lb (1.8 kg). A rubber pad underneath helps protect the tabletop from scratches. This product includes the pedestal base only; the vise, stem, tools and other accessories are not supplied.
