Griffin Tying Tools Dubbing Twister

Griffin Tying Tools Dubbing Twister is a weighted dubbing tool designed for use with a conventional loop formed from tying thread. A single bent hook holds the loop, while the brass body below provides useful mass during twisting. The working section is made from stainless steel, and the weighted body is constructed from brass.

The weight helps keep the hanging loop closed and under tension while dubbing or another material is positioned between its two strands. Turning the tool by hand twists the threads around the material, producing a strand that can then be wound along the hook shank. Its straightforward construction lets the tier control the degree of twist through the number and speed of rotations; it is not intended for splitting thread or making dubbing brushes.
