H2O Flash Blend Baitfish Brush 2 inch (flash) is a ready synthetic-fibre brush held in a wire core. Wrapped along the hook shank, it creates a substantial layer for the wings, backs and sides of larger streamers. The reflective flash accent can be kept as a compact profile or combed and trimmed to leave the fibres free to move in the water.

Construction and use

Secure the wire core at the start of the section you want to cover, wrap the brush forward under even tension and sweep the fibres rearward after every turn. Add turns for more body, but avoid packing the material so tightly that it loses movement. Tie off securely, comb the fibres, then shape a tapered or flat-sided baitfish profile with scissors.
