H2O Frizz Fibre (flash)
H2O Frizz Fibre (flash) is a loose synthetic fibre with a fluffy, irregular texture. It builds volume while retaining natural translucency, making it suitable for fuller wings and rounded profiles without completely closing the space between fibres. Use it for streamers and other flies that call for a soft outline and a light, fibrous texture.
Construction and use
Separate the material into small portions and secure them progressively instead of creating one overly dense bundle. After tying, comb, layer, and trim the fibres to create a profile that is fuller through the shoulders and narrower toward the tail.
- Streamer wings Add short layers at the front and rear to control both volume and tip length.
- Fuller profiles Loosen the fibres with your fingers and distribute them around the shank, leaving room for free movement.
- Backs and tails Use smaller bundles to define the dorsal line or create a soft, fibrous tail.
- Shaping Comb out excess, taper the transitions, and trim with scissors only after checking the silhouette on the hook.
