H2O Mega Flash Blend

H2O Mega Flash Blend is loose reflective synthetic material for building larger streamer wings and baitfish profiles. Its combination of highly reflective strands makes it possible to create a fuller baitfish silhouette while retaining movement in the water. Use it as a main wing material or as an accent over synthetic hair.

Construction and use

The blend suits flies for larger predators when the wing, back or tail needs a visible, fuller profile. Tie it in stages and control the density of each bundle. Too much material can restrict movement, so build volume with several moderate layers rather than one heavy bunch.

• Large wings: arrange small bundles in layers and secure each one firmly along the hook shank.
• Baitfish profile: separate the fibres with your fingers, then taper and trim the sides and belly.
• Back and tail: use the material as a visible upper layer over a foundation of synthetic hair.
• Material movement: leave the tips free and avoid packing the fibres too densely near the head.
