H2O Sculpting Flash Fibre
H2O Sculpting Flash Fibre is a light synthetic material for streamer wings and shaped baitfish or crustacean profiles. Its workable fibres combine a subtle reflective accent with enough body to form a defined silhouette without making the fly unnecessarily heavy.
Construction and use
Tie the fibres in small, firmly secured bundles, then layer, taper or trim them to suit the pattern. Once tied in, they are easy to shape with scissors, making it practical to form a belly, back, tail or lateral outline on a streamer. The material is water resistant and light, so the finished profile remains manageable during casting and fishing.
- Streamer wings: layer small bundles to create a gradually tapering baitfish profile.
- Backs and sides: add a narrower bundle as a lateral accent or as an upper layer over other materials.
- Profile shaping: trim the tied fibres to form a belly, tail or crustacean-style outline.
- Tying method: use modest amounts and secure each bundle firmly so the material keeps movement instead of forming an overly dense mass.
