Hanak Competition H 450 BL Fly Hooks
Hanak Competition H 450 BL is a barbless Jig Superb hook with an extra-wide gape, intended for bead-headed flies. The black nickel finish suits dark and contrasting nymph and gammarus patterns.
Design and use
The extra-wide gape leaves more room for the body and materials, making the hook suitable for fuller profiles that still need a clear path to the point. Match the bead diameter to the eye and plan the thorax width so that the gape is not crowded. The jig format works naturally with weighted patterns. Its barbless construction supports release, while a steady connection is important throughout the fight.
