Hanak Competition H 500 BL Fly Hooks

Hanak Competition H 500 BL is a versatile barbless hook with a short shank, extra-wide gape, straight eye and an inward-curving point. Its black nickel finish provides a discreet foundation for a wide range of fly dressings.

Construction and use

The short shank accommodates compact, full-bodied patterns, while the extra-wide gape preserves the open space needed around the point. A straight eye makes it easy to lay a level thread base. Allow for the inward-curving point when positioning materials and finishing the head. The model provides a practical foundation for varied short-bodied flies, and its barbless form allows efficient unhooking.
