Hareline Adult Damsel Body
Hareline Adult Damsel Body is the standard-size semi-stiff tubular braided material for building an extended adult damselfly body. Its prepared tubular form creates a slim, consistent fly body without assembling it from several separate materials. It does not readily absorb water, accepts floatant and can be barred with a waterproof marker when a segmented finish is required.
Construction and use
Cut a section to the required body length, then seal the cut end with gentle heat, resin or adhesive. Tie the prepared piece to the hook shank, keeping the body aligned and correctly shaped. Add transverse barring with a waterproof marker after securing it if the pattern calls for damselfly segmentation. The material is suited to extended adult damselfly patterns where a repeatable body shape and efficient tying process are useful.
