Hareline Cactus Chenille Large

Hareline Cactus Chenille Large is chenille with a broad profile for building large, clearly defined streamer bodies. Its fibres create a full surface with decorative pearlescent accents, allowing the material to serve as the complete body or as a substantial section of a pike or sea-trout fly.

Construction and use

Before tying in, sweep the fibres aside from a short section to expose the core. Secure the core at the rear of the hook shank, then wrap the chenille in adjoining turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn. Choose this version when the streamer needs a wider or fuller body; tie off and trim only after the desired outline has been formed. The material can be combined with flash, fur or a separate collar.
