Hareline Crosscut Rabbit Strips
Hareline Crosscut Rabbit Strips are rabbit-hide strips cut across the direction of the hair. They are made for wrapping around the hook shank; with each turn, the fibres sweep rearward and create a full, mobile component on larger streamers.
Construction and use
Cut the strip to the required length and part the hair at the end to be secured. After tying in the hide, make even wraps and direct the fibres rearward before each following turn. The strip can form a collar, body section or soft-bodied profile. It is suited to large pike and sea-trout patterns, as well as other streamers that require movement from wrapped rabbit hair.
- Material: rabbit-hide strip with hair attached.
