Hareline Crosscut Two Toned Rabbit Strips are two-colour rabbit-hide strips cut across the direction of the hair. When wrapped around the hook shank, the fibres sweep back to form a distinct, mobile collar or body on larger freshwater and saltwater streamers.

Construction and use

Part the hair at the strip tip and expose the hide before securing it. Tie it in skin-side down, then wrap with even tension while directing the fibres rearward after each turn. The two-tone construction adds colour contrast within one tied component. Combine the strip with chenille, flash or other body materials, and control the finished volume by adjusting the spacing between wraps.
