Hareline Finn Raccoon Zonker

Hareline Finn Raccoon Zonker is a longitudinal strip of long, dense and soft Finn raccoon fur. The skin-backed format can be used as a mobile streamer wing, tail or back, and is also suited to larger salmon-fly patterns.

Construction and use

Select a strip length that matches the hook, part the hair at the tie-in point and expose the hide. Secure the strip skin-side down along the shank or use it to form a tail. In the water, the soft hair provides movement as the streamer is retrieved. Run the strip lengthwise along the shank as a wing, tail or back and secure the hide at carefully chosen points.
