Hareline Fly Fish Foods Bruiser Blend

Fly Fish Food Bruiser Blend is a long-fibre streamer dubbing designed for building substantial yet shapeable heads and bodies. Soft synthetic fibres carry a controlled amount of flash and, once brushed, create a smooth transition between the body and head. The blend retains useful volume without turning into a dense, rigid ball around the hook.

Construction and use

A dubbing loop offers the best control. After wrapping, brush out the fibres, sweep them rearward and trim the final baitfish profile. This is the full-length version for larger patterns; for small streamers that need a short, compact head, choose Jr Bruiser Blend with its distinctly shorter fibre.

• Structure: a soft blend of long fibres with restrained flash.
• Profile: brushes and trims into a three-dimensional streamer head.
• Uses: leeches, sculpins, articulated streamers and large baitfish patterns.
• Technique: dubbing loop, brushing, sweeping back and final trimming.
