Hareline Holographic Braid
Hareline Holographic Braid is a continuous braid for forming fly bodies, streamer segments and reflective structural details. Its compact, tape-like construction is wrapped around the hook shank as one continuous strip. The holographic finish reflects light across multiple angles, causing the body appearance to change as the fly moves.
Construction and use
Tie in the braid where the body is to begin and carry it forward in even wraps toward the eye. Touching turns give continuous coverage, while a controlled overlap can increase segmentation and body volume. When the required body length is reached, secure the braid with thread, trim the waste and finish the head. It can also be combined with dubbing, chenille or separate strands as one part of a composite body.
- Form: continuous braid for wrapping.
- Finish: holographic reflection visible from multiple angles.
- Construction: continuous strip for bodies and segments.
- Uses: flies, streamers, body sections and segmentation details.
