Hareline Ice Braid

Hareline Ice Braid is a continuous braided material for building fly bodies and ribbed sections. Its diamond-braid construction and clear, non-iridescent finish produce a translucent, reflective appearance when wrapped. The braid can form a complete body or be used selectively for individual segments and accents.

Construction and use

Tie the braid in at the start of the body and wind adjacent turns along the prepared hook shank. When creating segmentation, control the tension and spacing so the pattern remains even. Secure the end with several thread wraps before trimming it. Ice Braid can also be used as a rib or as a narrow reflective detail over another body material.
