Hareline Ice Dub
Hareline Ice Dub is a fine synthetic dubbing containing Mylar fibres that produce multi-directional reflections reminiscent of fish scales. The soft material separates readily into small portions and can form a slim luminous abdomen, a brushed thorax or a fuller streamer head. The strength of the visual effect is controlled mainly by how much material is applied.
Construction and use
For nymphs, twist a very small pinch directly onto the thread. Fuller streamer heads are easier to build in a dubbing loop and brush after wrapping. Ice Dub reflects more strongly and more metallically than blends based on natural fur, so it may serve as the main attractor material or as a sparse accent mixed into quieter dubbing.
- Material: fine synthetic fibres with Mylar reflection.
