Hareline Loco Legs
Hareline Loco Legs are prepared silicone leg strands for flies, especially larger patterns requiring legs and mobile accents. The tab can be divided into the required number of strands and tied in as legs, feelers, tails or side accents. Select the named colour or print family that suits the fly being tied, keeping its visual treatment distinct from other versions.
Construction and use
Separate the required number of strands from the tab, align their ends and secure them at the point where they should spread. For legs, place the strand across the thread and tighten the wraps on both sides, then trim the length after the attachment is secure. When adding side accents, check the fly from above so the two sides remain reasonably balanced. Treat the print or finish as part of the selected version; keep strands aligned during separation when a regular pattern layout is wanted.
