Hareline McFlylon
Hareline McFlylon is a soft, continuous synthetic yarn for shaping compact egg bodies and selected fly details. Its wavy structure can be arranged into an even profile, while its floating character also makes it useful for strike indicators, underwings and components of surface flies.
Construction and use
Separate the yarn into shorter sections when shaping a defined form, or use a continuous piece where a longer element is required. For an egg body, secure it to the hook shank, build the required volume in controlled layers, then trim or shape the material into a compact outline. On floating patterns, use only the amount needed for the intended profile so the finished fly remains easy to control.
