Hareline Micro Rabbit Strips

Hareline Micro Rabbit Strips are narrow rabbit fur strips, made in a Micro cut. They are used to build small zonkers, leech patterns and slim streamer wings, including flies for bonefish.

Construction and use

Select the strip to match the hook size and desired fly profile. Before tying, square the hide end, part the hair at the tie-in point and moisten the fibres so they stay clear of the thread. The strip can be secured as a wing or tail, or advanced along the shank after preparing the tip. Run the strip lengthwise along the shank as a wing, tail or back and secure the hide at carefully chosen points.
