Hareline Micro UV Polar Chenille

Hareline Micro UV Polar Chenille is a fine long-fibre chenille on a core for forming mobile bodies on small flies. Its fibres create a soft, open profile, while the UV treatment provides a UV-reactive or UV-reflective response under suitable lighting.

Construction and use

Tie in the core and wrap adjacent turns, sweeping the fibres back before each turn so they remain free. After securing the tip, tease the fibres apart, separate them with your fingers or trim individual stray ends. The Micro format supports slim, compact bodies; closer turns add volume where required. Use it for small streamers, nymphs, wet flies and scud or shrimp patterns. A short section can also form a mobile thorax or collar.
