Construction and use

Separate the number of strands required for the pattern and secure them with a few controlled thread wraps. For legs, set the position and length first, then trim the ends after the material is firmly tied in. Strands can be divided into smaller groups and placed symmetrically on either side of the body. On streamers, tie them near the head or at the rear of the body as mobile accents, keeping the thread pressure moderate so the strands retain their shape.
