Hareline Rabbit Flesh Strips Two Tone
Hareline Rabbit Flesh Strips Two Tone are rabbit fur strips, cut lengthwise and finished in a Two Tone colour format. The strip forms a mobile wing, tail or back on streamers, steelhead and sea-run patterns, and saltwater flies.
Construction and use
Choose an undamaged section and match the strip to the hook and intended fly profile. Part the hair at each tie-in point so the thread grips the hide rather than the fibres. When used as a back, secure the strip at the front of the shank and advance it toward the rear while keeping the hair pointing toward the tail. The end may be trimmed on an angle before it is tied down.
- Material: rabbit fur strip.
- Cut: longitudinal, for advancing along the hook shank.
- Finish: Two Tone, with two colour tones.
- Uses: streamers, steelhead patterns and saltwater flies.
